019 FZUS63 KMKX 300141 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 841 PM CDT Sat Jun 29 2024 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Winds will continue to shift from southwest to northwest as a cold front progresses southeastward through the Lake. Gusty northwest winds are expected to continue through tonight, becoming gusty and northerly on Sunday. Winds will weaken Sunday night into Monday and generally become easterly as high pressure around 30.3 inches builds in from the Northern Plains. High pressure will move east of the region Monday night, with increasing southeast winds developing over the lake. These winds may linger into Tuesday night, before a cold front moves east across the region.
