...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SIMPSON...WESTERN ALLEN AND
SOUTHERN WARREN COUNTIES THROUGH 145 PM CDT...

At 103 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles south of Memphis Junction, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Bowling Green, Scottsville, Mount Victor, Franklin, Woodburn,
Oakland, Three Forks, Hardcastle, Black Jack, and Rich Pond.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for
south central Kentucky.
