This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
  Limited Excessive Heat Risk away from the lakeshore.

DISCUSSION...

Isolated to widely scattered thunderstorms are expected this
afternoon. Severe weather is not expected, though the strongest
storms could produce gusty winds. Another hot and humid day is
expected with peak heat indices generally in the 95 to 100 degree
range. However, cooler temperatures are expected closer to the
Lake Michigan shore.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Friday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk north of I-88.
  Limited Excessive Heat Risk away from the lakeshore.
Saturday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
     Level 1 of 5 Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
  Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Sunday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk southeast of I-55.
Tuesday and Wednesday...
  Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Peak afternoon heat indices in the 95 to 100 degree range along
with intermittent thunderstorm chances will continue through
Saturday, although cooler conditions are expected near Lake
Michigan on Friday. A few storms could be strong to severe
northwest of Interstate 55 late Saturday afternoon and evening.

  Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
