...Discussion from Monterey...

Warm dry conditions will peak this afternoon with MinRH values in
the teens and 20s across the East Bay, North Bay, interior Monterey
County and San Benito County. Relatively light winds will help keep
fire weather concerns below critical criteria. After cooler
temperatures tomorrow and Thursday, we`ll see another day of warm
and dry conditions on Friday. ERC forecasts are increasing over the
next week, but should still remain below critical levels on Friday
as well.

Note : All winds are 20-foot Winds Unless otherwise specified.
Thunderstorms imply strong, gusty and erratic winds.

...WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS AWAY FROM THE COAST THROUGH THE WEEKEND...

Near normal temperatures with a fairly benign pattern will continue
through the week, with highs between 80 and 90 common inland of the
coast. Humidity levels will fall between 10 and 20 percent over the
interior valleys and mountains as well as the warmest coastal
valleys. Mixing heights increase to between 8,000 to 12,000 feet
across the interior each afternoon, capable of moderate vertical
plume growth on any new fires. Southeast winds gusts of 20 to
30 mph will affect some mountain areas into Wednesday, with locally
elevated fire weather conditions. Northwest Sundowner wind gusts of
25 to 40 mph will form Wednesday and Thursday evening, but
humidities should stay above 30 percent. Otherwise, weaker than
normal diurnal winds expected today, with more typical winds for
follow through the week. A shallow marine layer will be focused
along the coast with dense fog. Potentially significant drying
possible next week.
