Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...This morning, Lake Superior is between a 29.3 inch low
over Quebec and a 30.1 inch high over Saskatchewan. As the low
lifts away from the Great Lakes, the high will weaken to 30.0
inches over Minnesota tonight. This high will then shift east
across the Great Lakes region on Thursday. As the high builds to
30.1 inches while moving to New England by Friday morning, a 29.4
inch low pressure will track east to the eastern Dakotas. This
low will then weaken 29.6 inches as it tracks over or just north
of Lake Superior during Friday night and Saturday morning. As the
low heads toward southern Quebec on Saturday, 30.2 inch high
pressure will build over the Northern Plains, reaching the Upper
Great Lakes by Sunday night.
