Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...A 30.3 ridge of high pressure will remain anchored
over the Upper Great Lakes through Thursday. This high will slowly
shift toward the Lower Great Lakes beginning late Thursday,
reaching the Mid Atlantic states on Friday night at 30.2 inches.
Ridging over Lake Superior weakens to 29.9 inches Saturday night
and remains in place through Sunday. Sunday night, a 29.6 low
pressure will lift northeast from the Northern Plains into
Ontario. An associated through will reach western Lake Superior
early Monday morning and then linger over the Upper Great Lakes at
29.7 inches through Monday.
