691 FZUS63 KMQT 041349 GLFLS Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior National Weather Service Marquette MI 949 AM EDT Tue Jun 4 2024 For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior. Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS...Lake Superior is currently set between a 30.1 inch high over the mouth of the St. Lawrence seaway and a low of 29.3 inches over southern Saskatchewan this morning. The cold front of the low will extend troughing of 29.5 inches across the lake tonight into Wednesday before a another 29.3 inch low moves over the lake late Wednesday into Thursday morning. The troughing over Lake Superior weakens to 29.6 inches by Friday before parking over the Upper Great Lakes for the rest of this upcoming weekend.
