...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Southern portions of Hockley County in northwest Texas.

* WHEN...Until 1030 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Water over roadways. Overflowing poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 918 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated continuing moderate to
    heavy rain due to slow-moving thunderstorms. Minor flooding
    is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
    Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inch are possible over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Highway 385 between Levelland and Locketville.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
