Subject: Upgrade to full time Terminal Aerodrome Forecast service
for Martin State Airport (KMTN)

Effective at 0000 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on October 2,
2024 (8:00 PM EDT October 1), the National Weather Service will
upgrade Terminal Aerodrome Forecast (TAF) service at KMTN, near
Baltimore, MD, to full time status. Currently, TAF amendments
(AMD) are not scheduled to be issued between the hours of 0200 UTC
and 1200 UTC. With the new full time service, amendments to the
TAF will be issued twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week as
weather conditions dictate. Utilizing an Amendment not Scheduled
(AMD NOT SKED) qualifier in the TAF will now be reserved for
uncommon situations such as an observational data outage.

This change is a result of a re-evaluation of TAF services with
KMTN airport officials and users.
