Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC
1035 PM EDT Fri Sep 13 2024

Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

Broad high pressure off the New England coast will continue to
influence our weather through Monday as the remnants of Francine
weaken over the mid-Mississippi River Valley. Increased onshore
easterly flow off the Atlantic will lead to abundant cloud cover
overnight into Saturday with perhaps a spotty shower or sprinkle
across central Virginia. An area of low pressure could form off
the southeast U.S. coast next week before moving generally
northwestward toward the coast during the middle and second half
of next week.
