This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Hazardous heat stress conditions are expected again across all but
northern sections of the state this afternoon. Heat index values in
excess of 110 degrees will be common. If you have outdoor ventures,
or must be outside for extended periods, continue to practice heat
safety awareness.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected across portions
of western to central Arkansas this afternoon, and a few briefly
strong storms may be possible, capable of some small hail and wind
gusts. However, a more widespread severe weather threat is not
anticipated at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday

Through the remainder of the long term period, (especially on
Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) hazardous heat will remain the
primary concern. Daily high temperatures are expected to top out
near triple digits at most locations, in conjunction with overnight
low temperatures near 80 degrees, providing little to no relief
during the overnight hours.

Daily maximum heat index values will be in excess of 105 to 110
degrees across much of the forecast area, prompting the need for
additional heat headlines.

Rain and isolated thunderstorms will likely be present on Friday
into Saturday as a cold front become a stationary front across the
state. Any Fourth of July plans that extend beyond Thursday will
likely need to closely monitor rain and thunderstorm chances that
will be present across the state.

Confidence of severe weather remains too low this far out; however,
lightning would definitely be a major concern regardless if a storm
is strong or severe as many will be celebrating the holiday outdoors
statewide on Friday and into the weekend.

.Spotter Information Statement...

Spotter activation is not anticipated.
