Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
245 PM CDT Mon Jun 24 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Lightning starts aside, fire weather concerns will remain low into
next week. Despite unseasonably warm temperatures most of the
next week, increased moisture will keep minimum relative humdities
out of critical territory most areas. 20-ft winds will be modest.
The best chances of rain will remain over the higher terrain west
of the Pecos each afternoon and evening, where it is needed most.
Gusty and erratice winds can be expected with any thunderstorms
that develop. Recovery overnight and Tuesday night will be
moderate to excellent. Relative humidity will bottom out at
16-41% Tuesday afternoon, and 17-38% Wednesday.
