Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
210 AM CDT Mon Jun 24 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns will remain low through the period.
Temperatures will become hot, climbing above normal, however,
light winds, min RH above critical levels and recent rains will
keep widespread fire weather conditions from developing. Isolated
storms over the Davis Mountains could pose a risk of fire starts
from lightning and gusty, erratic winds. Storm chances increase
and become more widespread Wednesday and beyond, possibly bringing
wetting rains. Overnight recoveries will remain very good to
excellent.
