713 FNUS54 KMAF 220754 FWFMAF Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX 254 AM CDT Sat Jun 22 2024 .DISCUSSION... Fire weather concerns will remain low through the upcoming week. While temperatures trend upward the next few days, light winds, min RH above critical levels and recent rains will keep widespread fire weather conditions from developing. Isolated storms over the Sacramento Foothills and Davis Mountains each afternoon could pose a risk of fire starts from lightning and gusty, erratic winds. By midweek, a weak front could bring a better chance for scattered storms. && For point-specific forecasts please see the Point Fire Weather Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather Service Office.
