Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
317 PM CDT Fri Jun 14 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Minimum afternoon humidity falls to critical levels along/west of
the Pecos River each afternoon through Tuesday however, light
winds limit fire potential to IA at best. This is exaggerated by
the risk of lightning starts as isolated storms are possible each
afternoon in and around the Davis Mountains. Overnight recovery is
good out west and very good to the east but better moisture and
hopefully some wetting rains arrives with a likely pattern change
mid-late next week.
