Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
143 PM CDT Wed Jun 5 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Low relative humidities are expected in the Big Bend this
afternoon. Light to modest winds will prevent critical fire
weather conditions from occurring. Humidities will be higher the
remainder of the week further reducing the fire weather threat.
The threat for thunderstorms will increase this weekend into next
week. This will present a lightning start risk, especially across
the higher terrain and adjacent plains where very dry fuels exist.

Service Office.
