Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
234 AM CDT Tue Sep 24 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fall has arrived and cooler temperatures will help keep the fire
weather threat low this week. The only area of any concern will be
west of the Pecos River which has missed out on much of the recent
rainfall, and lower afternoon humidities will better cure fuels.
Light to modest winds will prevent erratic fire behavior. Fair to
good recovery is expected each night.
