...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...In the Davis and Chinati Mountains, as well as Chisos
  Basin, temperatures up to 99 expected. On the Marfa Plateau, and
  in the Davis Mountain Foothills and Central Brewster County,
  temperatures up to 100 expected. For Lower Brewster County,
  temperatures up to 112 expected.

* WHERE...Central Brewster County and Lower Brewster County
  Counties, and Chinati Mountains, Chisos Basin, Davis Mountains,
  Davis Mountains Foothills, and Marfa Plateau.

* WHEN...Until 8 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Look before you lock! Do not leave young children and pets in
unattended vehicles for even a moment. Car interiors will very
quickly reach lethal temperatures.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
