* WHAT...Temperatures 100-106+ degrees expected.

* WHERE...Chinati Mountains, Davis Mountains, Davis Mountains
  Foothills, Marfa Plateau, and Reeves County Plains, and Eastern
  Culberson County, Pecos, Loving, Ward, and Winkler Counties.

* WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures may cause heat illnesses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Look before you lock! Do not leave young children and pets in
unattended vehicles for even a moment. Car interiors will very
quickly reach lethal temperatures.

To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in
shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by heat
should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke is an
emergency! Call 9 1 1.
