...Heat Advisory For Portions of South Florida...
...Scattered Showers and Thunderstorms This Afternoon...
...Minor Coastal Flooding Possible...

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters,
southeast Florida, southern Florida, southwest Florida and Gulf of
Mexico.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Heat: Peak heat index values of 106 to 111 degrees will be possible from
late morning into the afternoon across most of the area. A Heat Advisory is
in effect for Palm Beach, Broward, Miami-Dade, Mainland Monroe, and Collier
counties through 6PM.

Thunderstorms: Scattered to showers and thunderstorms are expected this
Afternoon across South Florida, with the highest chances over interior and
SEFL. These storms will be capable of producing heavy rainfall,
frequent lightning and gusty winds.

Coastal Flooding: Minor coastal flooding associated with enhanced
astronomical tides (King tides) will be possible starting with today`s high
tide cycles.

Rip Currents: There is a moderate risk for rip currents along the
Palm Beaches.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Scattered thunderstorms will be possible daily, with primary threats
of gusty winds, frequent lightning, and heavy downpours.

Peak heat index values will remain near 105 degrees through the early week
period.

There will be an elevated risk for rip currents for the Atlantic beaches
through the early week period as high amplitude northerly swell moves into
the area. Minor coastal flooding will also be possible during high tide
cycles through mid-week due to the enhanced northerly swell and king
tides.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Weather spotters are encouraged to report high wind, hail, and
flooding to the National Weather Service forecast office in Miami.
