...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE SOUTHERN MIAMI-DADE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
  Coastal waters from Perrine to Ocean Reef FL out to 60 NM
  excluding the territorial waters of Bahamas...

At 455 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 36 nm east of Triumph Reef to 19
nm southeast of The Elbow Light, moving west to northwest at 15 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, lightning strikes, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek
safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.

Report severe weather to the coast guard or nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
forecast office.

Waterspouts are possible with this activity. Remain on the alert in
case warnings are issued for waterspout development.
