Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
239 PM PDT Wed Jun 12 2024

.DISCUSSION...Warm and dry conditions with typical afternoon
breezes are expected through Thursday. Expect the nightly return of
marine stratus along the coast and in Douglas County. The pattern
changes late Friday and Saturday, with temperatures trending
below normal and a 15-30% chance of precipitation for Coos and
Douglas County. Winds will be stronger in the afternoons,
gusting up to 20-25 mph during this time, too, especially
for areas east of the Cascades and in the Shasta Valley. Cooler
weather continues Sunday into Monday as a trough remains in place
along with a potential (10%) for precipitation over southwest
Oregon. Confidence is low in the details for this period.
