Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
256 AM PDT Wed Jun 26 2024

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 8 PM PDT
THIS EVENING FOR STRONG GUSTY WIND AND LOW RH FOR FIRE WEATHER
ZONES 285, 624, AND 625...

...Isolated thunderstorms possible early this morning across
portions of Modoc, Lake, and southeast Klamath Counties...

.DISCUSSION...While a low probability, generally 15% or less, a
slight chance of lightning exists early this morning over far south
and east sections as moisture/instability move northward. Critical
fire weather conditions develop once again for portions of Lake and
Modoc counties for strong, gusty winds and slightly higher, but still
critically low humidity this afternoon and evening. After that,
conditions should return to normal with cooler conditions, better
humidity recoveries and less wind on Thursday and Friday. Breezy
afternoons return this weekend.
