A larger pattern change is expected late Friday into next week, with temperatures trending below normal and a 20-30% chance of precipitation along the coast and into the Umpqua Basin. Winds will be stronger in the afternoons, gusting to 25 mph during this time, too, especially for areas east of the Cascades and in the Shasta Valley.
