Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
437 AM PDT Wed Sep 25 2024

...Gusty southwest to west winds from the Cascades eastward this
afternoon...

.DISCUSSION...A cold front will bring cooler temperatures, with
light showers for Coos and northern Douglas counties this
afternoon into the evening. The most notable impact will be gusty
southwest to west winds from the Cascades eastward this afternoon.
Sustained speeds of 15 to 25 mph are expected with peak gusts of
35 to 45 mph. However, afternoon minimum RH values in the upper
teens to mid 20s are too high to warrant a Red Flag Warning. Dry
and warm conditions are expected for the next week. The next dry
trough is likely to bring slightly stronger than usual westerly
breezes east of the Cascades Saturday.
