...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 PM EDT...

For the following areas...
Albemarle Sound...
Alligator River...
Croatan and Roanoke Sounds...

At 150 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near The Center Of
The Albemarle Sound, or 7 nm north of The Mouth Of The Alligator
River, moving east at 30 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
         suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, The Center Of The Albemarle Sound, and
The Mouth Of The Alligator River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
