...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CRAVEN AND CENTRAL
CARTERET COUNTIES THROUGH 345 AM EDT...

At 309 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Rachel Carson Estuarine Reserve, or over Harkers Island, moving north
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Morehead City, Harkers Island, North River, Marshallberg, Davis,
Straits, Smyrna, Harlowe, Otway, Williston, Great Neck, Open Grounds
Farm, North Harlowe, Bettie, Michael J Smith Airport, Cape Lookout
Lighthouse, Rachel Carson Estuarine Reserve, Fort Macon State Park,
Gloucester, and Crab Point Village.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
