...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CRAVEN...SOUTHERN
PAMLICO AND SOUTHWESTERN CARTERET COUNTIES THROUGH 300 AM EDT...

At 226 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Morehead City, moving north at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Havelock, Morehead City, Newport, Pine Knoll Shores, Harlowe,
Wildwood, North Harlowe, Cherry Branch Ferry Terminal, Minnesott
Beach Ferry, Oceana Pier, Mitchell Village, Crab Point Village, and
Indian Beach.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
