.Discussion...
The summer time pattern continues with scattered to numerous
showers and scattered lightning storms forecast each afternoon
this week. Light west to southwest flow develops today, persisting
through Friday. The east coast sea breeze is forecast to move
inland each day, colliding with the west coast sea breeze across
the central or eastern side of the peninsula each afternoon.
High temperatures remain steady in the low to mid 90s this week.
Increased moisture will promote a moderate to major heat risk,
and peak heat index values up to 106 degrees are forecast. Poor
to fair smoke dispersion today improves into mid week.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
