.Discussion...
The subtropical ridge axis will remain across central Florida this
weekend. Scattered to numerous showers and storms are forecast each
afternoon and evening across east central Florida this weekend, as
a very moist airmass remains over the local area. The east coast sea
breeze will develop and push inland each day, with showers and storms
developing along this boundary as it moves inland. An increase in
coverage of showers and storms are expected later into the afternoon
across the interior as boundary collisions from the sea breeze
and outflow boundaries occur. A few stronger storms will be possible
each afternoon, with the main threats being frequent lightning
strikes, gusty winds of 40-50 mph, and locally heavy rainfall.
No Min RH concerns. Temperatures will remain near to slightly above
normal, with humid conditions still producing peak heat indices
around 102 to 107 degrees. Smoke dispersion values will be poor to
fair today and fair to generally good on Sunday.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast, but
patchy fog may be possible early this morning and again late tonight
over areas that have had any heavier rainfall. Localized visibility
reductions due to smoke from new or existing fires will be possible
even if fog is not forecast.
