.Discussion...
A more typical summertime pattern continues this week with high
coverage of showers and lightning storms forecast each afternoon.
Light south to southeast flow will become southwest to west into
Tuesday, persisting into late week. The east coast sea breeze is
forecast to develop and move inland each afternoon colliding with
the west coast sea breeze across the central or eastern side of
the peninsula. High temperatures will range the low 90s today
while nearing the mid 90s across northern counties. High temperatures
then remain steady in the low 90s through late week. Persistent muggy
conditions will produce heat index values between 100-106 degrees.
Fair to generally good smoke dispersion today becomes poor to fair
tomorrow.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
