.Discussion...
High pressure builds across east central Florida promoting drying
and warming conditions. Any chance for precip today will be limited
near Lake Okeechobee, and lightning is not currently forecast. Min
RH is expected to remain above critical values today, ranging 40-50
percent across the interior counties. Continued drying will promote
sensitive RH values across the northwest interior tomorrow where
values are forecast to range 35-40 percent. Onshore flow continues
through tomorrow afternoon, increasing to around 10 mph. Generally
good to very good smoke dispersion is expected today.
Afternoon temperatures will continue a warming trend through late
week into the weekend. Highs today will range the mid to upper 80s
along the coast while reaching the low 90s across the interior.
By the weekend, widespread 90s are forecast, reaching the mid to
upper 90s east of I-95. Maximum heat index values climb between
100-105 this weekend.
Fog potential and other remarks...Widespread fog is not forecast.
Localized visibility reductions due to smoke from new or existing
fires will be possible even if fog is not forecast.
