Isolated lightning storms will be possible today along the sea breezes as they move inland in the afternoon, across the interior with the sea breeze collision in the evening, and from storm outflow. Storms will be capable of gusty winds and occasional cloud to ground lightning. .EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT... Record hot temperatures expected once again today, especially inland. Heat index values will reach between 103-110F this afternoon, prompting a Heat Advisory for much of east central Florida from 11 AM to 6 PM. If out in the sun, take frequent breaks indoors or in the shade, and drink plenty of water to avoid heat illness. Never leave children or pets in cars for any period of time! .RIP CURRENT IMPACT... A Moderate Risk of dangerous rip currents continues at all central Florida Atlantic beaches. Always swim near a lifeguard, and never swim alone. .WIND AND SEA IMPACT... Small craft should exercise caution well offshore of the Volusia and Brevard coasts tonight as winds increase to 15 to 20 knots from the nocturnal offshore wind surge. .FIRE WEATHER IMPACT... Sensitive fire weather conditions due to hot temperatures and drought continue. Min RHs 40 percent or less along and north of the I-4 corridor. Isolated storms near the sea breezes and along the sea breeze collision could produce occasional cloud to ground lightning. Sudden changes in wind direction from the east coast sea breeze and storm outflow, including distant storms, will be possible. Winds increase to 10-15 mph near the coast late this afternoon behind the sea breeze. Otherwise, winds generally 10 mph or less. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY. Storm chances gradually increase early this week as greater moisture returns to the area. Storms may produce gusty winds, occasional to frequent lightning, and locally heavy rainfall. Repeated rounds of heavy rain may lead to localized flooding, especially mid to late week. Remaining abnormally hot Monday, with heat indices once again approaching 108, before higher rain chances finally bring a reprieve from the heat Tuesday. Sensitive fire weather conditions continue for parts of east central Florida through at least Monday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today and tonight. $$ Haley
