Scattered to numerous lightning storms are forecast primarily this afternoon into the evening. The primary threats will be lightning strikes, gusty winds up to 35 mph, and heavy rainfall. Storm motion will be slow and erratic. .EXCESSIVE RAINFALL IMPACT... Deep moisture and slow moving storms will produce locally heavy rainfall accumulating 1 to 3 inches in some spots in a short period of time. This will likely cause localized flooding and standing water issues especially where additional heavy rains have recently fallen. .EXCESSIVE HEAT IMPACT... A Moderate Heat Risk exists today. The combination of max temperatures in the low to mid 90s and high dewpoints will produce peak heat indices of 102 to 106. If spending long durations outdoors during the hottest part of the day, stay well hydrated and stay out of direct sun as much as possible. .RIP CURRENT AND SURF IMPACT... There is a High Risk of life-threatening rip currents at area beaches. Entering the surf is not advised. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. A Moderate risk of rip currents will exist at all central Florida Atlantic beaches. Scattered to numerous showers and lightning storms are forecast each day mainly during the afternoon and early evening. The primary threats will be cloud to ground lightning, gusty winds and heavy rain. Hot and humid conditions will prevail with a Moderate to Major Heat Risk outlooked over east central Florida. It is recommended to take frequent breaks out of the sun and drink plenty of water during the hottest part of the days. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
