(18Z TAFS)
Issued at 1208 PM CDT Fri May 24 2024

General VFR conditions are expected this afternoon and into the
evening hours. Scattered diurnal cumulus clouds have developed
across the area with bases between 2500-4500 ft. Cannot rule out
brief instances of broken ceilings in this range this afternoon.
There is also a small chance for thunderstorms across far inland
SE MS/SW AL and south central AL that could linger into the early
evening hours. Convection is not expected at the coastal TAF
locations. MVFR cigs are likely to develop overnight into early
Saturday morning. Ensemble guidance does show some probabilities
for IFR cigs, but confidence is not high enough to include at the
terminals for now. There may also be some patchy MVFR/IFR fog
across the area early Saturday morning. Winds will remain out of
the south and southwest, gusting to 15-20 kt at times this
afternoon. 34/JFB
