...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Minnesota...

  Cottonwood River at New Ulm affecting Brown County.

.Rounds of showers and thunderstorms have produced 1-3" of rain over
the area, leading to rising river levels. Additional chances for
heavy rain are expected throughout this week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING TO LATE SUNDAY
EVENING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Cottonwood River at New Ulm.

* WHEN...From Tuesday evening to late Sunday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 13.1 feet, Flood waters begin to impact Cottonwood
  Street west of the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 800 PM CDT Monday, the stage was 9.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    tomorrow evening to a crest of 12.9 feet early Thursday
    afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Sunday
    morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    12.9 feet on 04/01/1979.
