At 1100 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Birchwood to 5 miles south of Menomonie. Movement was east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Eau Claire, Menomonie, Ladysmith, Chippewa Falls, Lake Hallie, Stanley, Bloomer, Lake Wissota, Chetek, Cornell, Cadott, and Colfax. This includes the following highways... Interstate 94 in Wisconsin between mile markers 43 and 56. U.S. Highway 53 between mile markers 93 and 131. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
