...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN DUNN...NORTHERN ST.
CROIX...BARRON AND SOUTHEASTERN POLK COUNTIES THROUGH 100 AM CDT...

At 1210 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Cumberland to near Clayton to Star
Prairie. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Rice Lake, New Richmond, Barron, Amery, Somerset, Chetek, Cumberland,
Cameron, Clear Lake, Turtle Lake, Almena, and Clayton.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 53 between mile markers 121 and 148.
 U.S. Highway 61 near mile marker 165.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
northwestern and west central Wisconsin.
