The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northern St. Croix County in west central Wisconsin...
  Northwestern Barron County in northwestern Wisconsin...
  Polk County in northwestern Wisconsin...

* Until 1030 PM CDT.

* At 944 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Saint Croix Band Sand Lake Area to near
  Somerset, moving northeast at 70 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Rice Lake, Hudson, New Richmond, Barron, Amery, Somerset,
  Cumberland, Roberts, Frederic, Luck, Clear Lake, and Turtle Lake.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 94 in Wisconsin between mile markers 2 and 5.
 U.S. Highway 53 between mile markers 141 and 152.
 U.S. Highway 61 near mile marker 165.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service
office in the Twin Cities.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
