For Monday afternoon, scattered storms will develop with isolated strong to severe thunderstorms possible. Main concern will be strong and gusty winds of 40-50 mph, and locally heavy rainfall. From late Thursday through Friday Night, a tropical system may move north into the Tennessee valley and southern Appalachians. Confidence is low about the exact impacts, timing, and path of this storm. However, heavy rainfall and localized flash flooding are possible, especially across the Plateau, southeast Tennessee, and southwest North Carolina. Windy conditions are possible especially across the far east Tennessee Mountains, Plateau, and southeast Tennessee. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not needed at this time. $$
