.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front extending NE over the waters will
dissipate today. A cold front will approach the coast this
morning, move offshore later today into this evening, reach the
outer waters later tonight, and then stall over the S waters Mon.
The front will remain over the S waters Mon night as low pressure
begins to organize along the front just off the S Carolina coast.
The low will continue to organize and move slowly E and NE over
the central and northern waters Tue through Wed while pulling a
trailing cold front E over the area. The low will pass E of the
northern waters Wed night with the trailing cold front clearing E
of the area. High pressure will build over the area behind the
low Wed afternoon and Wed night. The high will drift E across the
region Thu, and pass E of the area Thu night. Another cold front
will approach the northern Mid-Atlantic coast Thu night. Navtex
station Chesapeake Virginia is offline until further notice.
Technicians are aware of the problem and are working to have it
repaired. Sorry for any inconvenience.
