Southeast Gulf of Mexico

.SYNOPSIS...The pressure gradient between a ridge along 27N and
a broad area of low pressure over the NW Caribbean Sea
accompanied by a tropical wave will support fresh to strong E to
SE winds and building seas spreading from the Yucatan Channel
west-northwest through the weekend. The system is then forecast
to move west- northwestward, emerging over the Bay of Campeche
Sat night or early Sun, where conditions appear generally
conducive for further development, with the potential for
tropical cyclone formation. Gentle winds should prevail in the
NE Gulf through the weekend. Conditions are forecast to improve
across the basin Mon through Wed.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure over the region will support gentle to
moderate winds across the waters within 200 nm east of the coast
of Florida for the next several days. Seas will be mainly 2 ft or
less. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible, especially near
the coast each afternoon and evening. Winds and seas may be higher
in and near any thunderstorms.

S winds 5 kt late. Seas 2 ft or less.
