Conditions given represent the highest within that period. Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas only. The low moves E of the area by early tonight with a trailing cold front moving E and SE of the waters. Weak low pressure will slowly track E through the Saint Lawrence Valley later Sat and Sat night, moving E into the Canadian maritimes Sun and Mon while slowly deepening. The low will drag a cold front SE across the waters Sun and E of the waters early Mon. A weak cold front will approach the coast from the W later Mon and Mon night, then dissipate on Tue leaving behind a weak trough through Tue night.
