New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Weak high pressure centered S
and SE of the waters will move SE of the area later tonight and
Thu. A warm front S of the area will lift slowly NE over the
waters later tonight and Thu as low pressure moves NE along the
coastline later Thu through Fri. An associated cold front will
move offshore Fri, then move E of the waters Fri night. Low
pressure will slowly track E through the Saint Lawrence Valley
later Sat through Mon, dragging a weak cold front across the
waters Sun and Sun night. The cold front will move E and SE of
the waters later Mon and Mon night as a weak trough approaches
the coast from the W and NW.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TONIGHT...SW winds 10 to 20 kt, diminishing to 5 to 15 kt. Seas
3 to 4 ft.
.THU...S to SE winds 5 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 4 ft. Chance of rain
and areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
.THU NIGHT...E to SE winds 5 to 15 kt. Seas 3 to 6 ft. Chance of
rain and areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
.FRI...E to SE winds 5 to 15 kt, becoming S to SE. Seas 3 to
6 ft. Areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
.FRI NIGHT...S to SW winds less than 10 kt. Seas 3 to 6 ft.
