Conditions given represent the highest within that period. Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than twice the significant wave height. Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms. The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas only. Low pressure will pass SE of Georges Bank Tue night before moving E of the waters Wed while weak high pressure builds E towards the area. The high will then pass just S of the region Wed night into Thu night before shifting E of the waters Fri and Fri night. A cold front will approach the coast by late Fri, then move offshore Fri night. The front will shift E of the waters on Sat, with high pressure building in from the W Sat night. Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line .TONIGHT...SW winds 10 to 15 kt, diminishing to 5 to 10 kt, then, becoming W to NW. Seas 3 to 4 ft.
