New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A high pressure ridge will
persist just S and SE of the waters into Thu evening. A cold
front will move S over the area later Thu night into Fri, then
weaken and stall near 40N Fri night. The front will return slowly
N as a warm front Sat into Sat night, lifting N of the waters
Sun. The next cold front will gradually approach from the NW
later Sun night into Mon, and then drift offshore Mon night while
weakening.

Gulf of Maine to the Hague Line

.TONIGHT...SW winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Isolated tstms.
.THU...SW winds 10 to 20 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Chance of showers
and slight chance of tstms.
.THU NIGHT...W to SW winds 10 to 20 kt, becoming W to NW 5 to
10 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Chance of showers and tstms.
.FRI...N to NE winds 5 to 10 kt, becoming E to NE. Seas 2 to
4 ft. Slight chance of showers.
.FRI NIGHT...E to NE winds less than 10 kt. Seas 3 ft, becoming
2 ft or less.
.SAT...SE winds less than 10 kt. Seas 2 ft or less.
.SAT NIGHT...S winds 5 to 15 kt, increasing to 10 to 20 kt. Seas
