West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A weak area of high pressure E of
the central and N waters will continue moving E of the area
today. A trough will move E across the northern and central
waters later today and be followed by a slowly moving cold front
later tonight. The cold front will move SE across the N and
central areas of the waters Thu and Thu night, then stall over
this region as a stationary front. The front will return to the N
as a warm front Fri and lift N of the area Fri night into Sat.
Another cold front will approach the Mid- Atlantic coast Sun,
then move slowly E and SE into the northern and central waters
Sun night.

39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
