Additional strong to severe storms will be possible late this afternoon into the evening, primarily in northeast Nebraska into west-central Iowa. Large hail, damaging winds, and localized flooding are the primary threats. Heat index values are expected to reach 95 to 100 across much of the area today. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday Heat index values are expected to exceed 100 across portions of southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa Thursday. Values could approach 100 again on Sunday and Monday. Details remain unclear, but we`ll have daily storm chances Thursday into next week with potential for strong to severe storms at times. The highest chances currently look to be Thursday, primarily in southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected through tonight, but reports of wind damage and hail of 1" or more will be appreciated. $$
