(Today through Wednesday)

Most of the area is clear tonight with the exception being along
the plateau when some mid and high clouds are working in from the
east. These clouds are associated with an upper low and associated
surface low centered over the Carolinas. There are a few light
showers noted on KMRX in East Tennessee. Some of those scattered
light showers could impact the eastern counties today as the low
takes a westward jog. For the remaining two thirds of the area,
the only benefits from the low will be a little more cloud cover
and highs about 5 degrees cooler than Monday.

The low will reach its most western point this evening before
starting to move east again. This will pull the shower chances and
the cloud cover back to the east as well. A light shower can`t be
completely ruled out on Wednesday in the far east, but chances
won`t be as high as today. For the rest of the area, expect plenty
of sun with a light northerly wind.

.LONG TERM...
(Wednesday Night through next Tuesday)

As the upper low opens into a broader trough Wednesday night,
Middle Tennessee will be on the back side of the trough with
ridging building from Texas northward toward the Ozarks. That
ridging will build eastward Thursday night into the weekend
allowing temperatures to warm into the upper 80s to lower 90s
starting Thursday and continuing through the weekend. The humidity
will be tolerable with dew points in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
With those dew points, expect low temperatures in the low to mid
60s. In regards to rain, chances will be very slim through early
next week.

VFR conditions will continue for BNA/MQY/CKV. CSV/SRB will likely
have MVFR and possibly IFR cigs impact the terminals Tuesday
evening. In addition, light showers could impact CSV/SRB from mid
morning through the evening off and on. Winds will be out of the
N/NNE for the taf period.
