At 744 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Smithtown Bay,
moving east at 15 knots.

HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots and small hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high
         winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher waves.

  Port Jefferson Harbor and Smithtown Bay around 750 PM EDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until this storm passes.
Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots, small hail, high waves, lightning,
and heavy rain are expected with this storm. If caught on the open
